Result of CERTFOR Auditors training course
Chain of Custody
April 19 – 20, 2007
The fourth CERTFOR Training course for Auditors of Chain of Custody was held in Concepción on April 18-19. This course was targeted to those who want to become Internal Auditors and Lead Auditors of the CERTFOR Certification System.
During the 2 day course, the students participated actively and enthusiastically in the activities. The first day consisted of a theoretical review of topics related to chain of custody implementation, ranging from responsibilities within the chain to the environmental and social considerations that the CERTFOR Standard considers for the certification. 
The second day, the central activity was a visit to a sawmill certified by the Chain of Custody CERTFOR Standard, where the workers’ high level of commitment to the concepts of sustainability and wood traceability were observed. The course participants were also able to observe what different operational aspects must be considered when implementing a chain of custody.
